Air / pressure balancing is required to provide even air flows throughout a building, or to create +ve or –ve pressure environments according to design requirements. To price commissioning work, we will require drawings, design and specifications.

Our engineers are fully experienced commissioning engineers who are able to work in accordance with CIBSE and BSRIA guidelines and current British standards. All commissioning works are carried out with fully up to date calibrated test equipment suitable for the task in hand

Our pressure balancing service includes:

  • Cleanroom pressure regime testing / balancing - Test the quantity of air to ensure that there is enough to dilute or remove any contamination generated within a clean room, and ensure that it is not adding to any contamination, rather than removing it.

  • Static pressure tests - Static pressure is also known as system air resistance, and it is essentially a measure of the resistance to airflow that occurs in the HVAC system. Symptoms of a static pressure issue include excessive noise, hot and cold spots in the home, and even equipment failure. Identifying a static pressure issue before it causes a system failure will save your customers a lot of hassle and money.

  • AHU pressure profiles - Testing of AHUs includes monitoring of air performance under a range of simulated working conditions, establishing fan vibration characteristics, and the measurement of power usage.

  • Room pressure testing / balancing - Investigating, identifying, and solving measurement problems allow you to accurately and reliably measure a wide variety of HVAC testing and balancing parameters that will have your building HVAC system operating at peak efficiency.
